How To’s: Downloading GoPayment Transactions into QuickBooks

We’re told many GoPayment users love the ability to download transactions into QuickBooks for easy accounting.  Here’s a quick explanation of how you can take advantage of this time-saving feature.

If you use QuickBooks PC Version 2009 or later  or QuickBooks Mac Version 2010 or later as a tool for your business, ensuring that your GoPayment transactions match up with the rest of your records is simple.  Please click any of the images below to enlarge.

1.  From the Main Menu in QuickBooks select Customers > Credit Card Processing Activities > Get Online Payments
 
 

2.  On the prompt that appears asking which payments you would like to download, select the  ”Mobile Transactions” option 
 
 

3.  A screen will appear with all GoPayment transactions not previously downloaded into QuickBooks. 

You can now:

  • Select a customer/invoice with whom you want to associate a particular payment (shown right)

 

  • Create a new invoice to which that payment will be applied  (shown below)

 

 


 
Note that upon selecting to create an invoice, you’ll have the opportunity to add in any additional details pertaining to the transaction within the invoice itself (shown right).
